Phoktey Dara

A prevalent pristine jungle trail with charming beauty of panoramic High Nepal/Sikkim ranges is mere to describe Phoktey Dara trek. Staying entirely at campsites inside treeline is an ideal beginning for many trekkers. The trail inside Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary goes through the last few remaining undisturbed patches of forests in Sikkim.

Due to the proximity of Sikkim and Nepal High Himalayas, the views of High Himalayan ranges are fascinating. Singalila Pass and Phoktey Dara the two spurs offer majestic views of gigantic massif of Kanchendzongha range in a famous “Sleeping Buddha” formation. Sunrise and sunset panorama are surreal and profound. On a clear day, 4 out of the 5 highest peaks in the world, Mt. Everest, Kanchendzongha, Lhotse and Makalu are distinctly visible. Campsites are strategically on glades to enhance the grandeur experience. Jannu (Kumbhakarna), Pandim, Kabru North/south/Dome, Simvo are noteworthy in the vicinity.

Sani Temple : Many people visit this temple to ward off the evil effects of the shani dosha. Persons who have Shani posited in a bad position in their horoscope visit this temple. It is believed that once they visit this temple and perform the pooja, they will have good life.

Uttarey : Uttarey is a small village close to Nepal border in West Sikkim. The place is about 10 km from the homestay. Uttarey is popular among tourists for the serene environment of the place and many tourist attractions in and around it. From the higher ridges of the Uttarey hills, a view of the great mountain of Kanchenjunga can be seen.

Tenzing-Hillary memorial park : You can go for blissful explorations like nature walk or short hiking trip to the nearby Tenzing-Hillary memorial park from Uttarey. This memorial park was built and dedicated to first ascenders of Mt. Everest- Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. It takes around 2 hrs time from Uttarey.

Bajred Dara : The Bajre Dara trek in Sikkim is a mysterious beauty that provides insight into the wonderful parts of nature. Trekking is the best alternative if you want to explore the alluring mountains. Sikkim is known for its beautiful and scenic state, but the state lacks numerous hiking paths. On a clear, bright day, you can also see Kabru, Japonu, and Pandim, and many other of the highest peaks. People think Bajre Dara is interesting because it gives a clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga all the way to the top of it.

Chaya Lake is the major attraction of this alluring hamlet.

Singshore Bridge : Singshore Bridge, with an height of over 100 m and 240 m in length, is the highest bridge in Sikkim and the second highest bridge in Asia. It is truly a man made marvel that offers the spectacular baseview of immense greenery that makes it difficult to distinguish between the lowlands and the mountains.

Pelling : Pelling, an iconic destination in Sikkim that is famous for its majestic hill views and vivid flora and fauna. Experience the scenic views of Pelling with this first glass skywalk settled at an elevation of 7,200 feet over the ocean level alongside the fourth tallest sculpture of Chenrezig. The whole place will make you speechless with its beauty.
