A prevalent pristine jungle trail with charming beauty of panoramic High Nepal/Sikkim ranges is mere to describe Phoktey Dara trek. The trail inside Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary goes through the last few remaining undisturbed patches of forests in Sikkim.
Due to the proximity of Sikkim and Nepal High Himalayas, the views of High Himalayan ranges are fascinating. Singalila Pass and Phoktey Dara the two spurs offer majestic views of gigantic massif of Kanchendzongha range in a famous “Sleeping Buddha” formation. Sani Temple : Many people visit this temple to ward off the evil effects of the shani dosha. Persons who have Shani posited in a bad position in their horoscope visit this temple. It is believed that once they visit this temple and perform the pooja, they will have good life.
Uttarey : Uttarey is a small village close to Nepal border in West Sikkim. The place is about 10 km from the homestay. Uttarey is popular among tourists for the serene environment of the place and many tourist attractions in and around it. From the higher ridges of the Uttarey hills, a view of the great mountain of Kanchenjunga can be seen.
Tenzing-Hillary memorial park : You can go for blissful explorations like nature walk or short hiking trip to the nearby Tenzing-Hillary memorial park from Uttarey. This memorial park was built and dedicated to first ascenders of Mt. Everest- Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. It takes around 2 hrs time from Uttarey.
Bajred Dara : The Bajre Dara trek in Sikkim is a mysterious beauty that provides insight into the wonderful parts of nature.
